How to Create Videos that Sell

When creating your first video, it doesn’t have to be an expensive production. Many people are simply using their webcams or screen capture software. The video can be as simple as recording yourself talking about your products and services. If you are not comfortable getting in front of the camera, you can always just record your screen and demo your website or products online.

If you are on a PC, one of the more popular programs to use is Camtasia. For just $299, Camtasia offers an entire video editing suite that is both easy to use and powerful. Not only can you record your screen and do live video presentations, but it also allows you to edit and publish your content to all the popular video sites. It comes equipped with all the right tools to produce high quality videos in all the latest video formats including MP4. If you are on a Macintosh, however, there are products such as Screen Flow which also provides just about everything that Camtasia does.  It is both user-friendly and powerful.

In addition to creating your own video or screen capture, also consider asking your customers for video testimonials. Video publishing has become so easy these days that many people are already recording and uploading videos themselves. Getting video testimonials can be just as easy as sending out an email to your subscribers and asking them to record a short 1-3 minute testimonial video and uploading it to YouTube. You can then link the YouTube videos to your website or even embed them.
